we give the guy a lot of shit, be apparently he collapsed after the presser saturday and is in the hospital on a ventilator. might be a stroke.
i hope he ends up ok.
I wonder what he thought of that.
But in all seriousness I hope he recovers. He seems like a nice guy
It's not his fault he keeps getting retained at a job he's not good at; good on him for cashing checks all these years. Prayers for him and his family.

So you passed out? Now that doesn't seem to be ideal. Can you talk about that for a minute?
Mizzou killed him with that shitty press room.

His alma mater.
It's doesn't sound good. Every sad deal. We all give him hell but a super nice guy.
That sucks. Met him last year when I was standing in line outside of Barnhill to get into the Red/White basketball game. Seemed like a nice guy.
Bob is as good as it gets. Hoping he recovers.

Back in 2006-07 I had a KATV press pass and crossed paths with him numerous times at sporting events. Dude seemed to always be smiling and trying to make someone else do the same. On a personal level I don't think even Ethan Hunt could find someone to say something bad about him.
We're all pulling for you Bob
Cross-posting this from another thread..
Quote from: vegashog on Dec 03, 2024, 09:18 PMi read that all of his family that can, is either at the hospital or on their way. also cal said at his presser to pray for him.
the fact that there's no news is probably not a good sign.
Is there a GoFund to help the family? Is he married?

Rest in peace Bob. I can't imagine having to write about this program for my whole life. Rest easy bud.
Sad deal. Never met him but you can tell he was as genuine as it gets. Gonna miss the back and forth with him and DVH. All the coaches and players appreciated him. Lot of respect shown from media members outside of Arkansas.
We'll miss you Bob.

Bob was recognized by everybody.
Really stinks. Just another reminder that the we are all getting older and the 80s/90s were a lifetime ago. Guys we all grew up reading or listening to, like Bob and Paul Eels, are quickly riding into the sunset.

And Bob was 5 years younger than me.
I don't know Bob, just made fun of him on here like everyone else. I'm sure he was a good dude who was just a bit of an odd duck.
I hope his family finds peace.
Prayers for his family

That's sad, and my thoughts are with the family.
That's what I think about that.
Rest in peace, Bob.
I can remember when I was first able to read the Sports section, he was writing then. That was in the 70s. Wow.
This is awesome from Mason Choate. I never saw this one.

Say whatever you want about Bret. I think he liked it at Arkansas.

Too much.
Except the coaching part.

This hits home for me after losing two close to me in 2023. The 80s/90s seem like yesterday. Good times for hog fans. While football sucked the majority of the 90s, winning a national championship in basketball made up for it.
