As Swahili Steve id like to give a shout out since kwanza means first fruits in Swahili. Also I'd like to take this time and tell you that the activist Malala Karenga who created kwanza believed Jesus was psychotic and Christianity was a white religion that black people should shun.
Mr. Karenga was also convicted of false imprisonment and felonious assault and torture of women. Yes, torture. He spent four years in prison before being paroled.
