If we had won last weekend, I probably would be going to this one.
But we're cursed and Arkansas is like 0-10 in games I've traveled to see out of state. I have literally never seen us win a game in football or basketball that I've attended outside the borders of Arkansas.
So I won't add my voodoo to this one.

Sam insists on building up the kicker's confidence and we go 4-5 on FG's, ultimately missing a FG and the end that Sam thought was going to tie the game. Sam is given the keys to all you can eat BBQ in Memphis for life, and left behind and Bobby is named HC and Sam decides to retire to pickwick lake. Hogs bounce back and finish 8-4 on the season.

I'm revising my prediction. 56 - 10 Hogs.
fayvillains did not exactly inspire hope. Granted, it's still early in the season so a lot of their metrics are still whacky, but still, they think it'll be a tighter game than most here do.

chattanooga, georgis st, and troy. a combined 3-6. they held walk-on tryouts for db a week before the season began so i can see green having a great day. these guys aren't ole miss, hell they're not even state. plus most of the 30k seats will be filled with hog fans i bet.

Driving down with my son (born 2000) to the game later today. Gonna regale him with Arkansas-Memphis stories that were before his time. Improve/edit/add to these two.
We once lost to Memphis because they blocked (3? 4?) punts in a game and we never adjusted.
We scored a touchdown and went for 2 because our coach didn't know we had scored, just ran another play.

Pretty sure the second one was SMU in Shreveport.

They blocked 4 in one game. It was (and probably still is) an NCAA record for most blocked punts in a game. I was a senior in high school and my dad and I went to the game.
One of his Tiger fan buddies gave him a framed picture of the 4th block punt of the game for him to hang in his Hog Room at the house. It's still hanging there... :)
I was at that game. Nearly every play Memphis had on offense, our defense was still looking at the sideline to get what defense to run while Memphis was running a play. We were the most unprepared team I had ever seen.

My brother is taking my oldest to the game (my youngest has a baseball tourney) so there's 2 of them. I agree.

ONE GUY blocked four punts. Michael Irvin's poor man cousin, Ken.
We also lost a game to them 6-0 in the Ford era.
They might be "terrible" but we have quite a history of playing down to their level.

I think that was before Ford, but he lost three years in a row to SMU 95 - 97.
I was at the one at WM. I dont think we crossed midfield all day. It was a brutal game.
The 6-0 game was 1993, definitely Ford.
It was the week after we beat* Alabama by negative-40 points.
The four punt block game was on Joe Kines's watch.
Ah, precious memories.

I couldn't edit my post, but yes it was 93. I was in the band. It was raining I think.

If we are good enough to have a trap game, this would be it. Tough loss last week and Notre Dame next week, give me: Memphis 31
Arkansas 28

We lost, but we really won.
Nice call!
I should get an honorable mention. I have been the first one the last two weeks to predict we would lose in this thread.

I hoped this would be the year where I beat the house. Down to my last few chips and I put it all on red. You know you won't win but desperation makes a fool of us all at some point.
