Yeah, lot of chatter about this on X. Many are not pleased. Some of these European kids are playing in the equivalent type league overseas.
What loophole is this because how does that one kid who had a fucking heart attack and had to sit out two years get the shaft and they tell him sorry ineligible but this fuck plays 3 years in g league and gets to go back and play college ball because well money is better? Fuck no

Also, G League Ignite is no more. Dissolved.
1 & dones did away with "college" basketball.
Take however many intro courses to stay eligible for 1 semester, play out the season and drop out before the end of the second semester.
College sports has been like boiling a frog. If you just dropped in on them with no prior exposure you would wonder why all these pro minor league teams need a college attached to them.

It's a good point, though. From a market standpoint, the quality is not different, but these are brand names with built-in distribution channels.

Louisville and Santa Clara have started a trend. Abdullah Ahmed is Now considering the move to college after two years in g league and considering three schools. This gonna be the demise of college ball unless ncaa steps in.
