Green gave us chances to win some games, and he caused us to lose some games. But, our defense has been abysmal all year. We could score 50 and still lose by 10.

KJ's play today, on the road against Texas no less, certainly begs the question about why Bobby stuck with Green as long as he did. He thought Green was the best chance to win - he was obviously wrong. I still wonder if he would have done things differently if he took the job knowing he was going to be coaching here next year.

Why does it matter how old a coach is? I want a coach that maximizes NIL. A coach that can evaluate talent. A coach that is damn good at X's and O's. A coach that holds his players and coaches accountable. A coach that brings in damn good coordinators. A coach that has experience as a HC or coordinator in P4. I could care less how old he is.

A buddy of mine (and a longtime lurker here) was sitting on the front row on the 50 yard line right behind the Hogs. He said as soon as the ball went off of the punter's foot he thought it was coming right to him but did head back towards the field.
Not sure what happened. Like you said, may have been tipped. Of course it's Texas...so may have been some real JFK "magic bullet" energy in the air.
Also agree on the running into the kicker though. We never got another angle or replay of that. I rewound and watched it many times. Looked for alternate views on the webs. Maybe it was tipped, maybe one of our players pushed the defender into him and that's why there was no flag. But from the view we have, it looks to me like he got straight up smoked.

Agree. I was there too and that ball definitely looks like a curved shank. I was sitting even with the punter but you could see that he shanked it and it was spinning hard.
I don't know the rule; is the ball out where it crosses the sideline or out where it lands? If it curved out of bounds but then lands in bounds then it is out where it curved over?

Are punts treated differently than passes? You see receivers catching passes on the sidelines where the ball is clearly out of bounds prior to possession. Just curious how that works withing the framework of the rules.
I was thinking the ball went out of bounds early then curved back in but did not land in bounds so it was out where it first crossed the sideline. The camera work was so bad it's hard to tell what happened. The other camera guys must have been on a smoke break .

It's just hard to believe that a ball would spin that hard. Like an over-the-top slice for a lefty golfer...with the oblong ball and not spinning consistently, maybe I guess.
How could they line it up and know where it took the left turn?
All they would have is the angle it started at and where it ended up. It could have done the curving over the field.

Instead of a garbled PA announcer hyping Petit Jean meats they had two professional quality emcees down on the field directing all the cheers and the award presentations during the timeouts. Half the Jumbotron WAS NOT taken up by adds. They had past Longhorn stars come out and led cheers. They had live entertainment in the form of a live band come out and play and lead the whole stadium in a quasi fight song everyone knew. They had light show and would turn out the lights during timeouts and get everyone hyped.
I mean it was just...impressive, slick, and well put together. In short everything ours isn't. I didn't want to be impressed, but I couldn't help it.
You could probably visit ANY stadium in the SEC and come away thinking our experience sucks in comparison. For that matter you could do the same in the B1G or ACC too. We're Sun Belt quality.

100% agree. It was everything and even if we would be 7-3 it wouldn't be close. I've been to many, many home games of ours over the last 40 years and it's rarely been as good as the atmosphere Saturday. We never sat down the whole game, no one did that I could see unless you were sitting in the uterus section. I hate to admit that considering who we're talking about but facts are facts.
