My buddy has a kid on the Arkansas track team - Jack Williams.

His little brother Cooper Williams is a senior at Fayetteville High and just got a scholie at
Arkansas for high jump (cleared 7 foot).

He finished #1 on Day 1 of the decathlon yesterday. Has a good shot of winning it today.

He ended up winning.

I think he set a state record and best score this year in US.

That's really cool! Decathlon is no joke. You have to be a true athlete to compete and win in that event.

She did what now?

This was after coming back from a torn ACL suffered in March 2024.

Turns out she was an All-State performer and state champion in high school at 400 meters.

Super impressive.  I'm surprised she didn't get signed in the NWSL.  She's a baller.

She did get drafted but apparently never reported since she was rehabbing the knee.  I have no idea how their rules work but doubt they have an IR construct.

She might get another shot.

I knew she was drafted.  I just figured she'd be playing this upcoming season after more than a year post ACL tear.
