Quote from: Lurk on Aug 22, 2026, 04:03 PMGo out after dark and sprinkle Sevin dust around the hole. It's not as exciting as trying to burn them out but it's much easier on the skin. It does work though.

I haven't seen any of the suckers since doing this. I go out and stare at the hole. The white powder is still around it and down in it, like a talcum-ed up butthole, since it really hasn't rained. The hole is big as fuck but I think I got them.

The Pacific El nino effects just tore tropical storm dolly apart. She didn't have a chance once she approached the Caribbean.

She might reform in the Gulf

Average high in Fayetteville for the month of August was 97.4 surpassing the prior record set in 1980.  If the 15 day forecast holds, September not looking much better.

Yall been watching these models of a possibly hurricane headed toward southern ca this weekend
Yep. I'm not trying to be a dick about it. It could have lived. It didn't. Not by my choice. -Elvis

No but all the schools in Houston closed today and tomorrow because we might get rain later today.

vegashog

a lot of things have to happen for that hurricane to get to socal, including it turning into an actual hurricane. hopefully we get some decent rain from it at least.

El Nino is getting hyped the fuck up the last couple weeks...that's why we have possible hurricanes on west coast and not as many as normal on East coast

Are we having fun yet? Summer of '80 was local to the south. This el nino is kicking everyone's ass.

I was gonna say because it's in the Pacific, that's a typhoon not a hurricane.

Then I read up on it and I was wrong. Something about eastern Pacific versus western Pacific? Whatever.

Trump needs to sign an executive order renaming it Typhoon Mexico.

Ummm, no. Pacific hurricanes never go that far north in the rare event they go somewhere besides West.
