Quote from: animal on Aug 04, 2026, 05:52 PMI was sweating like a whore on a troop train earlier while up in a attic. So anyway a little while I ago I'm sitting here thinking...what's that smell. Yuck...well apparently I stink more than normal. Like we're talking full blown swamp ass. I've made it thru days and days of hot weather thus far and didn't manage to smell this bad.

So that's it that's the story. Have a nice day.

It would have been thoughtful to imbed a scratch-n-sniff so we could have had the whole story.

It was like 72 yesterday afternoon here and perfect minus the smoke and shitty air quality. Back to 100 this weekend

So during the hottest week of the year, my AC died last Monday.  It was Friday before we got our new system installed.  Thank JFB for a couple of window units, but the 2nd night was unreal hot.  I had to leave town for a wedding, so fortunately my lovely bride was still here to deal with the install and corral the animals.  Since I've been home, cooler than average weather prevails.  Typical.

She has some health issues, and has had a pretty rough summer.  My daughter and I repped us, but it was a 4-day deal, and it was just too much for wifey right now.

I have a friend who has a daughter and son-in-law there as missionaries.  He said they were physically unharmed, but they lost some stuff due to the earth quake.

Fucking 4 day wedding?  That's when I send an Olive Garden gift card and regrets. Theyy th ll stream it on FB.   I got married after work, went to Coletta's and got a pizza.  Attentionwhorism is ripping up the universe.  It's like big birthday parties for 1 year olds.  Huh?  It's not like they survived the polio and mumps breakout.

Nah, nothing that dramatic.  It was my nephew's wedding, and he's like my son and one of my best friends all rolled into one.  We call and text more than anyone else except my daughter.  Went early to play golf with him, my brother, and one of the groomsmen - I knew it was the only time that weekend I'd get any meaningful time with them, and I only see them in person a couple of times a year now.  Then rehearsal dinner, and wedding the next day.  Since we lost my Pop last year, I haven't seen Mom much in person (even though we talk or text daily), so we stayed with her to get some quality time there.

To come full circle, Coletta's did cater the wedding reception.  Best wedding food I can remember in a long time.  To really come full circle, my Pop went to high school and was good friends with one of the Coletta girls.  This was late 50's/early 60''s timeframe.
