such a hard question for parents to face;  are they really enabling him?  Is there anything that can do to help that isn't "enabling?"

That's my point.  I don't know his history, but I feel like I would always try to help my kids if I thought it would do any good.

I have had good friends that have been in exactly that position.  It is a very very tough position to be in.  At least 3 of them lost a son.

My son lives south of Tontitown, off the main roads.  He just sent me a text-- tried to take his daughter to the dermatologist but turned around and went home.  Said the county roads are a solid sheet of ice.

I have some friends in a similar situation right now.  They are trying to figure out how to teach their son with some tough love, but they are afraid he might cut ties with them if they do that...and they definitely don't want that.  They just want him and his girlfriend to grow up and be adults.  It's a tough situation all the way around.

I saw where fville is closed again today. That's just nuts to me. It's 51 here yesterday and 50 today. We don't have a lick of snow in the ground here anymore

Really early it was below freezing and raining but by 0730 it was above freezing and just rain. Sidewalks, driveways with any leftover snow can't be walked on. By 0830 there were a few slushy spots on the road but nothing bad. Currently 36 and rain in Fay, with no projection of temps below freezing until Sat morning.

I think it is just barely freezing in NWA, but apparently that is enough, at least on the less traveled roads.

well I heard how fville schools are always erring on the side of caution after they sent kids home on a bus one day and parents weren't home

A couple of weeks ago they canceled school about 15 minutes after a ton of kids had already been picked up by the bus to go to school. Ever since that happened they have been canceling school over nothing up here.

The Fed Ex station in Lowell cancelled deliveries this morning so it has to be sketchy in spots. There are tons of back roads and side streets in NWA I never knew existed and never got treated.
