hmmm.  Tempted to say no because the clock never started.  Like guys goofing around taking a basket after a foul.

Otherwise on sideline inbound plays you'd just have your best three point shooter shoot rather than pass it in.

I actually did this to a kid when I was 10 and playing AAU against some team at McClellan. I was guarding the inbound just inside halfcourt and told him it was his best bet to just shoot it bc we were up 3 and there was 1 second on the clock. I figured he didn't know the rules and that if he even attempted it there was no chance it would end up where they could take a legitimate 3.

He airballed it out of bounds in the general vicinity of the goal. Ballgame, good guys.

I don't care if we win the next game (I hope we do) but this has been a great season for us. Cal has done an amazing job having started with nothing. This just shows how strong the SEC  was this year and we still made it. This has been one of Cal's best coaching years.
