Just keep remembering: we're doing better than last year, and last year worked out pretty great.

Show-Me Hog

All we know for sure is we will make the tournament (I can't see a complete collapse that will prevent this), we won't win the NC (we have proven we are too inconsistent to win 6 games in a row against good competition), and we almost certainly won't make the Final Four (same for 4 games).

Everything in between is a crapshoot and a matter of the tournament draw.

This is what makes this team so frustrating. All the talent in the world to win a Natty, just too inconsistent.

I'm not sure we have the big man talent to call ourselves a contender. Pringle is a big zero, and while both Ewin and Brazile are talented, they are both head cases.

The 5 spot will be our undoing.  I disagree on Ewin being a headcase.  I think the simple truth is he isn't as talented as we need him to be.  Same with Pringle.

Pringle to me has been the biggest dissapointment. He's regressed. At least with Ewin, you can see his minutes has dropped, but his production is still on par, if not a little better in performance from a year ago.

He's very talented offensively but not so much on the other end of the court.  Defense seems more like an effort issue to me.

Perish peacefully in a warm environment.

Pretty much everyone has us as a 5 or 6 seed which is where I think we end up. With the right draw as a 6 seed I think we could make the elite eight. We could also lose the opening game. There's no telling with this group.

I think we could actually get hot and win some games in the tournament.  But we could lose the first one too.

I save my anxiety/heartbreak for March... I'm sure I'll need it. I still like our chances to be able to gel and focus when it matters. At the end of the day, seeding doesn't matter a lot. You still have to beat whoever's put in front of you.

Interesting. If I had gone through it I guess I would have figured it out, but I didn't know only 3 SEC teams have won the national championship. Even counting OU and Texas.

I wish we had the big kid at Georgia.

I get that you have to beat who's in front of you, but I think it's important to stay above the 7 seed line. That gives you one extra round before you have to play a 1 or 2 seed and the small hope that someone else upsets them before you have to play them.

I knew that place had been a hell hole for us, but dammit.

Agree. Lunardi has us a 6 opening up against Miami in OKC. The 3 seed is Nebraska. Probably couldn't ask for a better draw.

CBS has us a 6 in Tampa with Purdue as the 3.
