Yep. While I agree that we're the 2 best teams remaining, I'd rather play them now than have to face them in a best of 3 championship series. No one has 2 starters as dominant as theirs.

I've changed my mind on the reseed thing - I think it actually helps us.  In a 2/3 with LSU, we'd have to face their 1-2 combo.  In this format, we'll only face one of them.  Our BP is better than theirs.  Bring it on.

Good points.  Beat Anderson and we likely wouldn't see Eyanson even if we end up facing them in the semifinal round.  Or if we did he'd be on short rest while we would have our whole staff available. 

Our 1/2 are a bit below theirs (Root not so much if he's on), but we have a major advantage in pitching depth.

Based on the field and the importance of Game 1, I wouldn't be surprised if LSU threw 2 starters at us to get the win. They can beat UCLA or Murray State with their 3rd starter and bullpen.

They would be fools to do that.  Not sure about UCLA, but Murray would score double digits against any starter for LSU not named Anderson or Eyanson.  If they used both aces against us and it somehow backfired and we beat them, LSU would likely be two and Q.

Interesting that we were the only team, who when they won, lined up and did our normal shake hands with one another routine.  Every other team celebrated and jumped around.  It is almost like we expected to win and understand that there is still more work to do.

To be fair, we did take a lap around the concourse and then run out to the pond for a player to do a belly flop.

We didn't dogpile, but we certainly did our own thing.
