Also heard on Josh Pate:

Belichik (North Carolina) has scored a touchdown on its opening drive every game this year.

Um that's classic Bobby not Belichik. More Bs.

Yep. I'm not trying to be a dick about it. It could have lived. It didn't. Not by my choice. -Elvis

Do we still control the Strait of Dauphin?

Oh to be a naive football fan in your 20s again. My son the Mizzou grad.

2 weeks ago they sucked. He doesn't even want to watch them. How could they lose to a shitty team like Mississippi State? Last week "this is the greatest feeling ever," that's a quote, curb stomping Florida. He is making plans to attend games. He wanted to know if I want to go to Athens for Mizzou-Georgia.

Son that's a negatory. I can't, plus you don't want to. Trust me. Mizzou ain't going into Athens and beating Georgia.

Welcome to the ups and downs of a mid-level football team. I remember beating a #1 LSU too under Nutt.

The innocence of sending your son off to see his team get drubbed by Georgia is like allowing your girlfriend to go off alone with a bunch of dudes on a trip because he has nothing to worry about.
"I got fired for using free speech" yea imagine getting killed over it

BASS

DeBoer says they are using wet balls to prepare for playing in tropical storm conditions.

That's like pissing on a forest fire. Theoretically it helps.

How about practicing with a few fire hoses hooked up to hydrants spraying the offense and defense and some big fans blowing 50 mph winds?

Yep. I think it's a seven-figure per year naming rights deal.

Maybe we could get a famous Arkansan to pony up in the future.

Bobby Bonesyard has an accurate ring to it.

I watched a little of that game last night, simply because a friend of mine was one of the officials for the game.  He had told us weeks ago that there would be absolutely no one at that game, and he was right.  Maybe 2,000 people scattered around that stadium, which isn't huge, but still probably seats 30-35k.

Do they really think they will be able to hold that game as scheduled with the storm coming?  I'm thinking they will have to move it. Atlanta is likely going to get hit by the same storm, but not sure about the timing.  Maybe the Superdome in NO?

what about the candy vs ole Miss game? It's at 1:30 in Nashville and they're expecting 20mph winds and rain all day?
