1994 National Championship Game Thread Arkansas vs Duke April 4, 1994

That Citadel game was something. My sophomore year on campus. I spent most of that summer in Fayetteville.  My roommate and I went to a few practices. My roommate was a good high school player and knew football. I had 3 former high school teammates playing for the hogs at the time. Labor Day weekend. I remember walking back to the fraternity house with my roommate and proclaimed my disbelief about losing. My roommate was "Are you serious?  We watched them practice. We could start on this team."  One of my high school teammates ended up being all sec. He told me come to practice every time I saw him. I was busy drinking and not wanting to be a 6'2" 200 pound tight end in the sec. Keep in mind we sucked so bad back then. Dean Peavy. 5"6' white kid was our best defender. I was my pledge trainer for my fraternity the next year. Had a good kid. Did everything you could ask. He started working out religiously and eating a dozen eggs a day. Turned into a super meat head. I asked him what he was doing. He said he was going to try out for the hogs. I told him you just don't show up at practice and say you want to be a hog. He gave no fucks and did it and ended up being the starting full back for our 1995 championship season.

I don't know where I'm going with this other than csb and all you had to do to play for the hogs then was show up and we lost to the Citadel. But JJ Meadors caught that fucking ball. That's my group.

She's been dead for two decades. She was a percussionist in the Razorback marching band. They made the trip to Heber Springs in October of 1963 for the dedication of Greers Ferry Lake. Kennedy's last public appearance before he was assasinated.
