He hasn't leveled up yet.  He needs three more quality points to up grade the apparel branch of his coaching profile.

Y'all need to get over Bobby.  He's not coming back.
Apparently retarded member of the "fucking old people" crowd as defined by Swahili Steve.

I would be shocked if 100% of the pro Bobby folks here didn't know that.

I don't know.  I watched long enough to know these early games don't mean shit...unless of course, they do. lol

I want to be hyperbolic about it all...but I just don't care enough.  I'll watch next week not knowing much more about this team than I did this week.  I think we have issues at QB and the oline, but I guess we'll see.

Defense seemed to do some good stuff, but it might get exposed next week as well.  Maybe the offensive problems were easy fixes and it will look much better while there are serious flaws on the defense that North Alabama just wasn't good enough to exploit consistently.  I just don't know enough didn't pay enough attention if I had the necessary expertise.

Yeah, my give a shit about Razorback athletics took a big hit yesterday. Watched the entire game and never felt anything.

BleedinRed

I watched all the SEC games yesterday.   We were the only team that looked like absolute ass for the entire game.

Borenutz

Is it too early to start a new coaching search thread? We all knew chad silverfield isnt the answer.

Maybe we can start a democracy and let the fans elect the next head coach.

You see any of the Vandy game? They didn't look very good either.

It doesn't matter who the coach is until we can compete in the NIL space, we are going to be where we are. We are 15th in the SEC in NIL for football.

And, you're not gonna attract a solid coach til you're competing (top half of conference )in NIL.

The Whyte Boar

We are never going to get a top coach or even one with options by trying to go cheap.  We are in a spot now where we are going to have to overpay.

The old plucky Arkansas that was competitive, winners and fighters and all is no more. We might get good evals and have guys play better than their 15th ranked NIL but what does that mean? We might get 11th place one year? Silverfield took on a really bad job and it's going to be increasingly more unlikely for the fans to give a fuck and if I'm being honest the system in place right now really makes a lot of fans less fucks to give when you literally have no idea who's on the team. At least with basketball it takes like 1 game to figure out who's who. With football it's virtually guranteed they'll be guys by the end of the season that we're still like "who's that guy, where's he been".

"I got fired for using free speech" yea imagine getting killed over it

The coach always matters.

It may be the difference between 5-7 and 2-10 when NIL is too low, but coaching is still the number one most important variable in college football.

Blaming all our woes on talent all these years lets the coaching staff and more importantly those who hired them off the hook for being substandard.

We have always been at or near the bottom of the league in talent, NIL or otherwise.   Likely always will unless one of the Walton kids decides to make football their pet project.  Even then, if they buy a top five roster we won't do anything with it if we keep entrusting them to fools.   Talent without proper leadership is like bourbon without alcohol.

Like that big white dude on defense who was out there wreckin shit every time they put him in yesterday.  I forget his name but never heard of him before yesterday.

Given the choice of a top five head coach and a bottom five roster or the exact opposite, you will always be better off with the former.

True, the best coaches are going to take the jobs with the best chances to acquire talent, so you can't just neglect that side.  But you're in an even worse spot if you if ignore the other.

For the record I'm not giving up on Silvernuts based on one game no matter how ugly.  The team looked like ass, but I didn't see any decisions that told us he was clearly in over his head, like when Chad pussed out and punted on 4th and inches in the 4th quarter of his second game with a lead.

He seems to understand what he's up against, and he's trying to do both his job and that of his incompetent boss at the same time.

The Whyte Boar

I think if we had a Tyler Wilson or Brandon Allen under center, this would be a completely different team.  We gambled that we had a guy who was good enough and we brought in the Memphis kid and didn't go try to buy a starter.  Unless we see significant improvement that is going to prove a costly mistake.

Boarat

Just keep drinking. It'll get better.
