The SEC supposedly might take between 2 and 4 ACC teams within the next couple years. 

They could have put a stop to the conference breakups by simply resolving the playoff shit. You take 12 slots or whatever and that includes conference champions from X conferences aka P5's regardless of record. No more bullshit...that leaves plenty of "At-large" bids to fill which is essentially your second place teams and or an outlier from a G5 that looks "good".

Big XII is basically mid-major and ACC isn't far away, save Clemson and FSU.  They just took SMU.

Two weeks ago Alabama needed a miracle to beat NMSU's bitch. If the committee is going to decide the 4 best teams based purely on conference championship weekend then just shut it down and turn college football into the NFL with two conferences.

I think FSU deserved to be in the big show, even if Alabama or Texas looked better yesterday. Weighing a week 2 game the same as a week 11 game is a mistake.

The fall of Va Tech and Clemson has really hurt the conference, nobody has stepped up.

I don't know why so many are opposed to more football.  I see the same argument for bowl games.  "There are too many!"

Oklahoma State, the basis of Texas "looking so good" in their conference championship, lost to SOUTH Alabama and was only 9-4 before yesterday.  That was the "second best team" in that conference.

Agree, the Big XII and ACC are mid major conferences with a couple of solid programs.  In the former's situation, the two big players are leaving.  For the latter, I assume it's a matter of time for FSU and Clemson.

FSU played great against a very good LSU team (Bama also beat) and a pretty mediocre Florida team.

Yet despite that they didn't play a ranked team or even a team that finished with a winning record in ACC play until Louisville in the championship. Not their fault they didn't get Louisville or NC State in the regular season.

We know the reason they didn't get in was that their QB was hurt.  Legit debate as to whether that should be considered.

I have a cousin that plays TE on that FSU team and I'd love for them to have made the playoff, I pull for them every game. 

My point is that ACC and BigXII schedules are ridiculously soft and about to get worse.

what went wrong:
Florida State should not have stayed #4 after a question performance against an losing record Florida team, keeping them #4 was the big mistake.

They beat the team these people ranked #14 and then drop from 4 to 5
Teasip goes from 7 to 3 after beating a team that was ranked #18 (4 spots below Louisville) - how does that make sense?

Bama goes from #8 to #4 after beating #1 ?
Georgia goes from #1 to #6 after it's first loss (to #8) while Ohio State goes from #2 to #6 after losing their first game (to #3, which is a higher rank than 8 but a team without their head coach). 

Worst of all, Jordan Travis now has to live with "what if I hadn't gotten hurt" the rest of his life. which isn't fair.

Honestly, what more do you want from Florida State? they played the schedule and won all their games.

Who the hell did Michigan beat of note to warrant being bumped to #1? Oh they shutdown that offensive juggernaut Iowa!!  Michigan and Ohio State only play each other and we still don't know how good either one is because the Big Ten is so bad they don't have play anyone non-con. Yes, Ohio State beat Notre Dame but how good does that look now?

if they really wanted to settle this the right way - then Alabama and Florida State play in 2 weeks in a play in game.  Coastal Carolina and BYU proved a game can happen on short notice and you know the ratings would be off teh charts.

Remember the ACC (how fitting), Big Ten, and Pac-10 "alliance" delayed the playoff expanding this year to next year. and now it's biting them in the ass.
