Do you think the next guy will likely  be an upgrade to Petrino calling plays and TWill on defense? If so, I'm all in but based on history and who I see as realistic candidates I think we will take a significant step back.

Again, agree to disagree on impact.  I think Odom was a good mentor for Pittman, and had a lot to do with our success when he was here.  Then Pittman changed coordinators on both sides of the ball.  He lost his mentor, and on offense, he brought in a guy to run it (Enos) whose offense couldn't be more different than we were running.  Our line and QB were ill suited to that offense, and we struggled mightily.  His poor choice of an OC combined with failing to thrive after he lost his mentor are examples of why I see giving him more NIL to spend would be throwing good money after bad.

You're kinda making my point. Again, you're not investing in Pittman. You're investing in Petrino and Williams. If you don't believe in them, then move on.

The meal should be at noon so everyone can continue to graze all day. I thought that was common sense.

I completely agree. If you eat late afternoon there is no 2nd round. It makes no sense at all.

Dabo has not been as good without venebles running the defense.

Offense is great but defense matters, it seems to have both is becom8ng more rare.

The coach still matters with money involved.

You're a stud transfer with a million dollar offer from Kiffin and from Pittman.   Which one are you picking?

When your coach is perceived as lesser, the only way you're getting those recruits is to overpay.  And if you overpay that guy you have that much less for the rest of your roster.
