They have Florida State, Ohio State, and Notre Dame already scheduled for the next couple of years.

Who knows. At this point, now that the SEC and Big 10 have 16 teams and basically a monopoly on college football, I'd rather see the four best teams from each of those two conferences and then the remaining four spots to the highest ranked at large teams.

Ole Miss as the 6th best team in the SEC could conceivably win the National Championship if they were in this playoff. There's not a single team in this year outside of the SEC/BIG that has any chance of winning it all.

In the last 33 years FSU, Miami and Clemson are the only teams not currently in the SEC/BIG to win a National Championship.

Nope.  "They" have wanted a system that didn't start and end with the SEC.  The SEC got just as many teams into this playoff format as they did when it was a four team and before that a two team system.

There is no reasonable person who thinks SMU is better than Alabama, Tennessee, or even South Carolina.  Not one.  And if you do meet that person, be careful.  You're talking to a tranny.

The football establishment has always given them unnecessary favors.  Sure they are a huge TV draw and a big name historically.  But they need access to the playoff more than CFB needs them to survive.  The biggest growth period in CFB history came while Notre Dame was mostly an afterthought. 

Tell them to either join a league or lose access to the playoffs.  They can go unbeaten playing a MAC level schedule and declare themselves national champs like the olden days.
