Postpone the Sugar Bowl?

I wouldn't let tragedy do that. Unless it was an attack on the Superdome, or a continued threat to the Superdome.

There are tens of thousands of people who have travel plans. Tonight is their last hotel night. Tomorrow they're going to fly out. Changing it by a day lets the evil have a far greater affect than it has so far.

the stadium is just a few blocks away and they have no idea if there are other people or places involved. don't think they would be able to just summon the extra security in time.

it's a football game. imagine if they held it today and some bomb went off in the parking lot because they didn't have enough cops/dogs in place.

I don't think it'll really matter how you organize the seeding in the CFP, it's never going to be a new "March Madness". College football just isn't the same as college basketball; the sport is physical so the likelihood of a Cinderella Story or a shocking upset is much rarer than in basketball. It happens, but not as often.

The CFP will mostly feature convincing wins until you get to the final four, when the matchups are more even.

if your going to go with 12 teams, no auto seed would fix the early rounds.

smu-arizona st or boise-indiana would have been much better games than what we got this year. would they have lost in the next round, probably so but the first round games would be much more competitive.

it's about money, that's why they went to 12 and talk is maybe going to 16 in a couple of years. it's never going back to four.
