yep, supposedly his dad was the one who contacted him and then went on the twitters and said it was all bullshit.

Someone will.  And then he'll go into next season missing a lot of spring practice work with his receivers.  Insane because he just had to put up one more decent year and then go make more in the NFL than he just sacrificed his Tennessee career for, AFTER getting into the CFP last season.

Wow!  The first college football holdout becomes the the first college football holdout loser.

SEC or NCAA rules prohibit an SEC to SEC transfer. Wonder who was tempting Nico with more money than Tennessee was offering.

I don't understand why the NCAA doesn't enforce a one time transfer rule. Transfer twice? You have to sit out a year. No waivers.

It won't stop all the craziness but, it will slow it down.

it was the ncaa that allowed the transfers in the first place by dropping those rules.

the justice department and several states brought a civil suit stating it was anti competitive and they said fuck it after losing the house case.

I don't know but I'm glad someone finally stood their ground and said fuck off. If the "contracts" mean absolutely nothing as discussed in another thread then more schools should do this. I guess his Dad felt he deserved more than $8MM to lose to Arkansas. Someone will sign him but not for the amount he was already getting at TN.
