They're idiots.  The PI was a clear jersey pull, and that late hit was a clear late hit.  They should be thankful the refs royally messed up a call earlier and called a TD an incomplete pass.

Apparently I gave them too much credit, cause I didn't think there was any way a fan base could possibly boo those calls. I thought I missed something.

UCLA is not good.

Klubnik and Manning underwhelmed and makes one wonder who is rating the college QBs as pro preospects.

Hawaii in 9 seconds on the clock  got the offense off the field and the fg unit on to get 3 before the half.

I hope the next coach hires that guy to run our  special teams.

I'll give Arch a pass (for now) because 

A. He wasn't playing Alabama A&M, dude will put up numbers this season. 
B. He's still a pretty young kid and a first year starter...still plenty of time to develop. 

People piling on because he's not Archie, Peyton or Eli isn't fair at all. That kid can't help that shit and the Manning family did try to downplay him as much as possible but the hype machine couldn't help but do what it do. It seems like everyone is tuning in to watch this kid crash and burn.

I understand the resentment that if his name wasn't Manning nobody would give a shit and he likely wouldn't be a starter at Texas but whatever. That's their problem for not doing a good enough job evaluating their talent.

I watched a bit of arch's HS tape and I wasn't in awe or anything. I thought a pretty good QB but not the second coming. I think I made a post back then so I'll pat myself on the back for sort of calling it.

I think that level of pressure and expectation is unfair to the kid. He hasn't done or deserved anything at this point

I'm no Texas or Arch Manning fan but drive-by, prisoner of the moment takes is what college football is all about.

Case in point – Ryan Day was the laughingstock of college football last December. Then he won a natty six weeks later and beat everyone's ass in the process. 

It'll be interesting to see where it shakes out with him. He could be Peyton/Eli, or he could be Chris Simms 2.0.

I actually feel bad for the kid because he seems like a good dude who's really getting shit upon because of national media narratives he had nothing to do with. It's not his fault that ESPN and FS1 are devoting a ton of focus on him and talking about him going #1 overall and putting an insane amount of pressure on him.

LSU's second string RB was a far better high school quarterback than Arch.  At least Arch will even say he hasn't earned any of the hype.  If his last name was anything else he'd be playing at ULM.  I can't believe his throwing mechanics were so bad, like he inherited his dad's athleticism and his mom's throwing ability.

Same. The highlights I saw weren't anything special, but figured there was more there than the tape. I think he will be a decent QB but not what they are hyping him up to be.

I agree with most of this.  I think some better play calling could have changed the outcome of that game.  Sark didn't look like any offensive genius to me.
