Two observations:

1.  He is much more comfortable now in front of the crowd than he was a couple of years ago.

2.  He really didn't like last year's strength coach.  Which leads to a question-- didn't he hire that guy?

Just watched it. He definitely seems more comfortable than just a year or two back. I don't know if that means anything for how we'll be on the field, but I did appreciate that he basically said he was too soft last year, and is more willing to be the guy who says what needs to be said even if you don't want to hear it.

One thing that Pittman has always done is identify why we lost any particular game. It makes it easy to criticize: It'd be nice if he could spot our weaknesses before we lay an egg vs Liberty, etc, but he is still learning on the job and will probably retire by the time he has it all figured out. Still, he's improving, and hopefully his improvement as a first-time head coach translates to the field this year.

I guess Sam had made some comments to the media about how the new hires were an upgrade. Like any good coach would do. And he went on Twitter with some rant about loyalty and throwing people under the bus. He deleted it after Arkansas fans clapped him.

He took 2 to the house. Other than Joe Adams I don't know that we've got very many punt return or kick return guys with more than 1 house call. At least not in the last 20 ish years.
