Since people are mentioning QBs of yore. I looked up Tavaris Jackson because I had a class with him at the U of A. He rarely attended, but when he did, he seemed pretty stupid. Seemed like a nice guy. I did not realize he died in 2020 in a car wreck. Left behind a wife and 3 kids. Sad shit

He just never produced when he got on the field at Arkansas.

I remember he hit a lady in the stands with an overthrown pass at the Red White game. She wasn't paying attention and he over threw the receiver by 25 yards on an out pattern. Pegged her right in the back of her head.

Sorahan led an ugly ass touchdown drive on the final possession. Mike Tirico was calling the game with Corso and Herbstreit and sounded like he was having a coronary when he completed the wobbly pass to Richard Smith on the sideline that got us down inside the five and then when C4 scored the go-ahead touchdown.

God that game was so miserable, every single last inch of my jeans, shirt, shoes and hat were sopping wet. All the students around me were slobbering drunk because the rain delay just gave them more time to get hammered. Nothing wrong with getting drunk and rowdy at a game, but people were so blitzed that they had no idea who they were talking to or what was going on. I call it the game were nothing happened. Tennessee zeroed in on C4 because they knew there was no way in hell Sorahan could hit the broad side of a barn. If Matt Jones had started that game, we probably would have won. I remember the Tennessee fans were talking massive shit after the game. I shouted at them that I could not wait for them to get their asses handed to them by Florida next week. Well, three days later, and the Florida game was delayed to later in the year.

We've had plenty of coaches who weren't scared of letting <checks notes> North Alabama know who our week one starter would be.  There's no logical reason for "not telling the public". 

Arkansas, sucking off every mid-tier coach we find since whenever we mentally broke as a fanbase.

Why does the public have to know? Always a dumb argument on what the public SHOULD know.

I'm guessing our options for starter will be a guy with more experience who will helicopter most of his balls to skillet hand receivers...or a guy that is less experienced but delivers some balls amazingly and then proceeds to fuck something up or a 3rd option...the great white hope.

The ones who are excited are going to be excited no matter what.  Entire QB roster could get leprosy and they'd be telling us it doesn't matter because we didn't need to know about that anyway.

The rest of us would be doom and gloom if we were sitting at 11-0, because we know something terrible is going to happen that might reshape the course of all of humanity.
