Quote from: Barton Fink on Oct 05, 2026, 07:53 PMWatching the full LR Touchdown interview, it doesn't sound like the Walton's, etc. have any interest in helping the football program. He mentions they are all investing in other areas around the community (NWA). Which makes his comments about us all coming together very interesting. Almost sounds like he is looking for more support outside of NWA. He danced around Baz's question of it can be done just with donors or donors + fans.

Baz highlighted Campbell and what he did for TT and Mark Cuban investing in IU football. Tyson took it in stride but made it clear he is not providing us that kind of support.

Interview is worth the watch but be forewarned you have to fast forward through the first 30-40 mins.

I took it as there are no billionaires riding in to save this football program. Tyson/Walmart/Jones etc are giving all they care to give.

If we're depending on the average Arkansas fan to find the football program at average SEC levels we're going to be disappointed.

Barton Fink

I thought this was interesting too. People keep saying when we win or hire a new AD/coach the money will come. It doesn't work that way. Tyson essentially said the same. It will never happen the other way around.

Given that we're all still posting on a Razorback message board, Razorback fandom on woopig is substantially higher than the average Arkansan.

So are any woopiggers actually giving to the NIL fund?  I'm guessing maybe only a handful of the posters here will say yes, if any, which tells us all we need to know about the fans saving this sinking ship by opening up their wallets.

We need corporate/billionaire money or a catch lightening in a bottle coach.

Actually, we need to fire an AD/hire an AD/form a plan and then have an AD and administration sell that plan to investors.  Then have general managers and coaches who can execute the plan.

But first the plan has to be formed and MORE IMPORTANTLY sold to investors and fans PUBLICLY.  Right now, HY wants to talk about having a plan but no one seems to know what it is.  And we seemingly don't do many things with NIL that a lot of our competitors do.

Quote from: woodhog14 on Oct 05, 2026, 01:35 PMYou really think Keith Carter is going to come here because it's his home state? LOL

Read carefully. Did I say that I think he would come here because it's his home state?

Do I think that he would take the Arkansas job for the right amount of money? Of course he would.

Do I think Arkansas has that amount of money? Of course they don't.

Nah.  He HATES the University of Arkansas.  He wanted badly to play basketball here and Nolan didn't offer.  So he played his butt off and Ole Miss beat us most of the times he played us I believe.  We are the absolute last place Keith Carter would come.

I'm on smoko, so leave me alone.

Someone doesn't remember Keith Carter.  I'm confident Keith Carter would pay the University of Mississippi if he could somehow humiliate Arkansas one more time.

HY has squandered MILLIONS of dollars on bad decisions and negotiating like a monkey fucking a football.

HY is about 80% of the reason we are where we are financially.

Until he's gone, literally nothing else is worth discussion.

I agree.  Getting rid of him doesn't guarantee success, but keeping him guarantees failure.

Tyson and Calipari like Yurachek. He's not going anywhere.

Evidently, we are a basketball school.

Congratulations!

Yes.  There is no path forward where Yurachek fixes what is broken.  He's a failure.

One more time, read my post carefully.  I am well aware of his grudge against Arkansas.

That's not gonna happen quick. That means we will suck for the next 2-3 years until those things (hopefully) happen.

Right now the plan is pretty simple. We need better players. We have a coach on a multi-year contract. He ain't going anywhere. Do we want to give him a chance to compete or not?

It sounds like donors are giving all they care to give. That leaves it to a collective. We have failed at that twice now. Even still, if I polled 100 people asking if they would like to donate to NIL 99 would say no (thx Rick B.).

I feel like we're just kicking the can down the road till we reach euphoria. Wake me up when that happens.

Out of curiosity, on NIL... do most of you see HY's failure as not getting major donors on board or how he's handled the collective?

I have no insight on this, but what if all the major donors told HY they're capped out. What if a new AD comes in and is told the same? Then what do we do?

What if HY knows fans aren't willing to give and the reseating and ticket price increase is a last resort to increase NIL.

I'll add, I don't think that is the case. Too much heat from people that I think are close to the program,

Boarat

The Walton's are fortunate Sam worked hard. They are creating a med school and stem school that competes against the state flagships. They are hell bent on wrecking the public school system. They tried to annex the Buffalo River.

The Whyte Boar

So Biddy is saying that Kane Wommack was next man up after Golesh but he wanted to coach in playoffs so HY went with Silverfish instead.

buff2.0

We'll never know unless HY spills those beans himself, because I have zero confidence in any of our media to have a correct scoop
"That's embarrassing.  Looks like Josh Duggar when his parents asked him to babysit."

For $7 mil I'll put a webcam in front of my shitter so I can answer fan questions while I drop the Longhorns off in College Station.

Once authored a post that critics claimed, "Was notaslibro level."

I have better things to waste money on than overpaid crappy coaches and overpaid crappy players.

The Whyte Boar

Not saying we will fire RS but the national guys are talking about it.
