I figure that if KJ says he is coming back, Criswell leaves, if he can.  Is the current rule that Criswell is only entitled to one transfer without sitting out?

Not if he us a grad transfer. Not sure if he has graduated or not.

Certainly NIL can solve problems filling need positions...but I think I'll side with Adam Ford in saying that to a point you have to have that continuity especially when it comes to lineman. When it comes to lineman programs are most likely fighting tooth and nail to keep the good ones because there is such a shortage. If you paid attention this season you would have seen programs even Alabama had struggles in pass pro. They evidently shored up their woes well enough to have another successful season and in a position to get into the playoffs.

Part of our problems were we had a line recruited for Briles system which apparently "hid" some of the shortcomings and created gigantic running lanes. Zinger. Well fuck why in the hell would we want that. So we brought in Enos who's blocking scheme for his offense relied far more on more athletic (talented) lineman in a more complex blocking scheme where the ball carrier would have to have the vision of Alex Collins and the accuracy of Brandon Allen in order to be successful.

And as we've seen, the portal isn't always a magic cure all that will solve all your problems. Look at Prime. Look at us, and our hits and misses.

Enos never understood a good coach devises a scheme to best position his talent to win, not vice versa. And Sam let him do it.

If Sam went anywhere after the game except his office to find his OC, OL, and S/C coaches and retain recruits and players he should be fired for cause.  He got a day lead on coaches with games Saturday.  It ain't a bye week with all the shit going on.
