I'm as displeased as anyone with the state of the program and feel we deserve better. However, you're blind if you don't see the improvement on defense.

31 ppg over the last 10 games.

It's marginal at best. That also includes the 7 given up to inept Mississippi State. 258 yards rushing to Missouri. 517 yards to a completely useless Auburn team. Florida hurt us.

Jackson is probably the only one that will be drafted on this entire roster. No position is better than last year. You don't know ball. Linebackers couldn't be more lost in run fits.

I'll admit I don't know ball.  Comparing my knowledge of football to yours is like comparing Saban to Chad Morris.

When your offense can't stay on the field and you end up giving the other team a short field a majority of the time you're going to give up points. The defense wasn't great but they were definitely improved.

I think this defense would've been good with the offense we EXPECTED this year, the grinding rushing offense with KJ and Rocket we saw the yeat before.

As it is, the defense looked adequate or even solid most of the season and just got beaten down.  Secondary actually looked as solid as I can remember with the exception of Clark, and the Hudson Clark era at safety was brutal.

What about OC/Assistant Head Coach at Kansas, Andy Kotelnicki?  He's probably fat enough to warrant a look, but he'll have to really double down on the Golden Corral's fit in with our staff.

He's scheduled for some in-homes this weekend so we'll see.

The offensive line is the position that I wasn't worried about coming in to the season.  The Hogs have 7 linemen that were rated a 4 star coming out of high school.  I know stars don't always tell the whole story, but these guys were heavily recruited.  That 7 doesn't include Limmer, 2022 3rd team All American and 2nd team All SEC, or Latham, 2022 3rd team All SEC.  Coaching looks to be the problem.

Some guys are saying on Tardville that Faulkner flat out refused an interview and that Marion has us at least 3rd or 4th on his list of interviews/opportunities to check out.

Who would of thunk it?  A lame duck coach who fired an OC midseason and threw him under the bus is having trouble getting any interest.

I know it's cliche, but this message board ACTUALLY COULD do a better job than our administration.

And before that he wouldn't pay Briles to match TCU's offer.  Briles is 3 years older than me.  Placing loyalty to an employer over our market values isn't exactly something this generation cares much about.
