Any idea on the background of why Sexton has a vendetta against us?  I would say that either Yurachek or his successor need to prioritize repairing that relationship.

The only thing I can come up with is that he feels like we mistreated Nutt while he was here...that we deserve to be shitty because we fired that fine Christian man.  I guess you could say we fired his two least employable clients over the last twenty years in Nutt and Morris...anything those two add to Jimmy's bottom line is free money.  Having them pulling down seven figures per year from us probably paid for one of his vacation homes.  Maybe having the next least employable in his stable earning $6MM plus here for a while will change his opinion of us.

Or more likely, it's not a vendetta so much as it is a lack of respect which he projects towards his clients who might show interest in us.  There are zero tangible reasons that Ole Miss, Mississippi State, or Kentucky should have a higher upside or be better jobs for a prospective head coach, yet Sexton treats us like we're in a tier below all those schools. 

If the agent representing nearly all the top coaches thinks your program is shit, it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy since that school is unable to hire quality coaches.

More questions come to mind.  Who is the ultimate decision maker on who and how much is paid?  Whomever is paying the NIL money, do they start pressuring coaches to play certain guys more because of the "investment"?

I agree. Sexton is only interested in money.  He uses every school against each other to get his guys the most he can.
