I am this close to not spending any more on hog sports. They need to use the tv money to pay the kids. Asking the fans to pay for nil on top of everything else is too much and a breaking point. There is not enough money to fund all the sports to win, there never has been. Where is any return on investment for football?

I am just tired of the constant panhandling by Razorback Athletics.

Arkansas fans need to pay more money into the program/NIL to go from a 22nd place in the recruiting rankings to 15th or better place?  

If we have a top 25 recruiting ranking then we should finish in the top 1/3rd in the SEC.  I'm okay with not being asked for more money.  

Seems like the program is doing just fine and it instead needs better coaching.

You have said this several times on here (bolded part).  I agree in principle, but it is against NCAA rules for now. 

They are going to have to come up with some way to blend NIL and RF contributions for parking, ticket priority, etc. if this is going to work.  Ultimately it's all coming from the same pool of donor money until such time as they can find a way to have actual revenue sharing as you suggest. 

My business isn't going to get any benefit from hiring Hagen Smith, Landon Jackson, or Khalif Battle as a paid endorser. Unless you're in some form of retail that is going to be the case, and even then it's iffy at best.  These are effectively vanity purchases by small to medium business owners with disposable income they can use for a tax write off. 

If we want to have a successful NIL program we have to do a far better job cultivating this market.  Instead of relying on Walmart, Hunt, and Tyson heirs or retirees we need to be going after large farmers in the delta, car dealers, personal injury lawyers, independent oil producers from south Arkansas, etc.  Ole Miss doesn't have the luxury of major corporations (and their execs or retirees) they can lean on to build facilities.  They have had to sink or swim based on these types of donors for years. As a result they already have an in with them and know how to hit them up for NIL. 

Doug McMillon or John Tyson may give a ton of their personal fortunes to athletics for all I know, but if they try giving a multimillion dollar deal to the hottest QB in the transfer portal or some eighteen year old five star defensive end, their shareholders are going to run them out on a rail.  Frank Fletcher or Mike Rainwater can give all they want out of their businesses without having to justify it to anyone but themselves.

Which is 5 spots better than what we usually finish.  Bottom line is our end of year results don't come close to matching the recruiting rankings.

We recruit good enough to be a top 25 team nationally and top 7 team in the SEC but we continually finish in the 100s nationally and 13th in the SEC because our fans are sitting on $10 each that could fund NIL and get us into the top 15 of the recruiting battle.

Makes perfect sense.
