I think I saw Dirk standing at the top of the ramp behind where Sam was sitting. Saw JDC in the same area. Never saw HTL but heard he was dressed like a Leprechaun and slammin' green beer in the OJC while announcing his P5 hits and yelling "chalk ain't shit."

They finally had to bring in security to protect Sam's from the crowds....errr....10 people that wanted a picture.

Then as I was standing in the Terrace "ol' col' beer" line whoever the guy Sam was with got cornered by a guy. "I saw you with Sam and I coached at JUCO. I don't want to bother him but can you give him my card."

Rough day. Couldn't get things going. Finally caught a late super to not get skunked.

I've been on the box list for ten years. You either gotta suck a few dicks or run for office apparently.

We were on the list for twelve years before we got one back in the late 1990s.  That was with a relative in an executive position...the only help that gave us was the ability to come pick which available box we wanted. 

When the people who had the other side of ours gave theirs I took that one.  Dad has the left side, I have the right.  We rarely go now, but won't give it up.  I'll probably pass it to my son and my nephews one day if they want to keep it.

The guy that was with Sam is a guy I have met a couple of times.  Works at the same bank as my daughter.  The story is that guy (and his wife, who was also there along with Sam's wife) lived next door to Sam when Sam was an assistant coach.  They all became good friends and they see each other regularly.  That's the second or third time they have been at the races with the Pittmans.
