Fuck Texas.  What's our record with them the last 10 games?  Pretty damn good, I think. We have beaten them in a couple of bowl games (in Texas, if I recall correctly).  We beat them in Austin with Matt Jones.  We beat them in Fayetteville.

We have lost a couple, but we have more than held our own in recent years in my mind.

The list includes three teams of top offensive, defensive, and specialist players, totaling 84 players considered to be the best in the league.

So we've balanced out not recruiting well with not developing the talent we don't have in the first place?  It'll all be fine as long as we make a bowl this year.  Lot of teams would like to make a bowl game this year, but it takes BOTH chin straps to accomplish that.  Feeling like Prime Biker Bobby would struggle to get this team to the postseason.

I do think it's harder to quantify what a portal loaded roster is going to do on any given season. It's no secret our issue has been talent and depth. As Biddy said in his walk n talk video...we got guys that might play in the nfl going against guys that WILL play in the NFL. 

That blip on the radar where we popped up and won 9 was with guys that were in some cases two years older than the guys they were playing against. We took early advantage of the super seniors when other programs weren't. A few of those guys followed Odom from Mizzou and were developed for his shit. Then it went to shit when TitBoss didn't build off that.

I'm not drinking anymore kool-aid on this program's culture changing until they go out and prove it. Every single fucking year we hear the same shit.

Yeah I won't celebrate overachieving with a shitty roster by singing the praises of the guy who assembled the roster.  If we somehow go 7-5 this year despite the roster there are two coordinators who are going to be getting a lot more attention than Pittman.

I know.  It shouldn't be celebrated, but probably enough to let him keep his job. 

I'm really torn on it.  We should be better than we are right now.  It's probably a moot point, as 7-5 would probably require Sam to get every single judgment call right.  Doing that all year would not even get him to batting .500 in that regard.

Situation won't improve until NIL gets improved. NIL won't improve until Tyson, Lindsey, big money folk get involved. Big money folk won't get involved until we get a new hire and another "historic day for Arkansas football"

With Pittman, our recruiting has actually improved from where it's historically been. But other programs have leveraged NIL and the portal better than we have and have just gotten that much further ahead. Exhibit A Ole Miss. We replace our guys with depth needing development, they replace theirs with All SEC stars.

I like Pittman and my prognosis does not give me joy.

With Pittman, our recruiting has actually improved from where it's historically been.

Pittman had his one good year when what's-his-nuts recruits were redshirt sophomores, juniors, or seniors. And maybe a couple Bert holdovers. And Odom's transfers plus Ridgeway, who was probably all Odom too.

Unless I'm mistaken we have more 4*'s overall on the team during his tenure, but yes, better recruiting is "on paper" and asterik'd. Injuries, poor development, transfers, flat out misses, tell the full story.
