The story is Petrino recruited the kid to Missouri State but he was considered a higher prospect and opted for Boise State. He also recruited Blake Boda to UNLV before bolting to A&M leaving Boda to move to Coastal Carolina. Boda doesn't figure into the mix this season barring injuries and may never be good enough to be a starter.

Given that Singleton and Jackson were already on the roster my best guess is this staff was fairly mindful that they needed a starter but they didn't need to necessarily run oft the other two guys who will likely be longer term options. I think Green may ultimately be capable of leading the hogs back to a Texas Bowl type run which may be good enough to see what a Petrino led offense can do in the following year. I think it's very possible that we'll see a change to Singleton by mid-season perhaps sooner if shit goes lasso tits up.

NIL money? I don't have any idea how much Green got. My understanding is KJ Jefferson's NIL last season was like 900k while his lineman were literally getting catfish and bbq. Our two highest paid NIL guys last season spent most of the season laying down...

He's noticeably slimmer in the face. It's hard to tell in the all black but it seems to show in the body too. Good for him.
