All Briles cared about was his neato plays he came up with.  Didn't care about inept line play or poor conditioning.

Arkansas cannot win big without an edge is stamina and speed.  JFB knew this and that's why the 4 had real meaning back then; the big Texas boys would be huffing in the heat while folks like Jimmy Johnson or Loyd Philips or Harry Jones ate their lunch and handed them their balls.  Fat Bert and Sam really don't like getting hot so gave linemen safe spaces, cartoons, and days off.

We have no clue how this team will do against OSU or the sec.  But at least we came out and hammered the game for 60 minutes like they were expected to do.  No coastal Carolina or moo state bullshit.  No kj out there with bouncing blubber and a weak ass arm and horrible decision making.   I'll enjoy it and it's a game at a time.

I don't know football well enough to go real in depth about it so I'm probably just talking out of my ass, but Briles seemed to have plays he was going to call regardless of opponent, trick plays called at this particular time, etc. Petrino schemes and calls plays to attack a weakness in the other team. Briles definitely seemed to have the mindset of Mike Anderson with not worrying about what the other team is going to do.

I felt like after the first couple scores Bobby started running practice...we were intentionally running plays that the QBs were said to be struggling with in the preseason. Bobby loves these middle crossing routes and shit like that and it was open most of the time and the QB had to settle in and make the throw. You started seeing Green go under center a bit more before the half was up. To me he looked more comfortable there than he did as a pistol QB.

2nd half i was only half paying attention...all I really gathered is Singleton and Jackson both moved the chains and the O line didn't look like total ass as a 2nd unit. Last season's starting line would have looked bad against anybody.

I do agree though that Bobby is excellent at setting up shit, just don't know that we really learned anything against UAPB. PB didn't "make us" do anything different. We did whatever we wanted to. There were few if any audibles. We didn't see any real sight adjustments by anyone. Maybe it was going on but I expect there to be some misques and whatnot against a big boy pants program.

What's it matter?  Get a good year or two out of him and then bring in 55 new players like we did this year.  This is the way it is now.

Yeah, that's the thing that irks me. They apparently feel that they don't have to EARN a starting or playing spot. It should be given to the because they were good in HS or something.
