If Sam is coach next year, excitement will be Chad level and donations will follow. He simply can not be the head coach next year if you want any chance of turning it around.  He just can't.

He shouldn't have been the head coach this year, but he is and will be again next year. With enough money and the right coach it can be turned around at anytime, but why is there no sense of urgency to do that now?

did he mention the oc who called that play? it wasn't designed for brown, it was for anyone that who was in the game at that time. if it was the wrong thing to do, why make that call? did he mention on the drive green took his 18 yard sack we had just run the ball three times for 17 yards? who made the call for a slow developing pass play that our qb is 50/50 at best on getting it off or taking a sack?

what difference does it make who the sp coach is when anthony decided to return that kick. the player made chose to do that.

not bashing on petrino or defending fountain, just that blaming pittman for every little thing and taking away the player's accountability looks petty and is playing to a crowd.

Yeah, it what you said.  A different coach does a better job preparing a player and when it comes time to "choose" in a game, a player makes a better decision.  So, yes, it absolutely matters who the special teams coach is.

The point I'm trying to make is that there a noticeable lack of attention to details that decimate us in critical moments. It's a culture issue and who is responsible for setting the culture?

And this is not just benefit of hindsight stuff. Here is another example from during the game...

Perfect example of the subtle differences that separate good teams from bad.

4th and 2 and our 230 pound linebacker sits back behind the first down line to wait for the damn quarterback to come to him. He could've easily prevented that.

If I can spot that in 10 seconds in live action, how do the coaches not get those type of fundamentals across in hours of film study and practice reps?

Sam isn't mentally or emotionally ready to deal with the wrath of our fan base. If he keeps getting heat from fans, billboards etc he might very well just retire with a negotiated buyout. His dream has been to retire here. He doesn't want this heat

Some men are born to lead and make difficult decisions; others are content to follow. The world needs both.

Coach Pittman was a (successful) career follower until 2020 when he was placed in the position of leader and decision-maker for the Razorback football team. His lack of confidence in that position has been exposed in the difference in W-L records between seasons when he has had former HC's on his staff to rely on vs when he was on his own.

Despite having strong coordinators on both sides of the ball, this season's team performs like a rudderless ship and I think Sam's chronic (and likely severe) hip pain has made him more of a distraction than an asset to the team.

It's time for him to "retire" gracefully while he still has some goodwill in the bank.
