I don't know.  I hate the whole portal thing and all these players transferring every year (or semester), but I kinda feel like if the coaches lie to you about recruiting, you ought to be able to back out of your letter of commitment.  Never thought I would say that, but that's kinda what I am feeling right now.

i'm not sure what you mean if you're talking about that post. it clearly shows (if true) the program is way understaffed compared to almost all of the other sec teams. that's not pittman's fault.

Been saying that for years when you look at Alabama's staff under Saban and he's got former head coaches as analysts, former pro scouts, etc and we've got somebody from Bee Branch it's just a different game we're playing.

Thing is, if we are going to be non-competitive, we don't need to half ass that either.  Start funding it like soccer or gymnastics.

Good coaches demand infrastructure. The modern staff apparatus was invented by Saban, and it was one of the main stipulations for Kirby Smart when he was on the yearly carousel before he ultimately wound up at Georgia. It's purportedly why he turned down Auburn after Chizik was fired, because they wouldn't give him the support he wanted. Kelly demanded a sizable staff and support resources at LSU. Ditto for Napier.

It's also on Yurachek for being a bean counting idiot who's more concerned with the short term account balance than making any sort of strategic investment in our program for long term gains.

I think a lot of the line is coming back. There was talk they wanted to try to get Braun another year of eligibility. Harris struggled at RT down the stretch but was an improvement over Blackstock who was an absolute bust. Can anyone tell him from Ty'Kester Crawford? The guy only played because they paid him and that shit has to stop. There had to be other kids on the roster that could get out of their own way. Had to be. Right? 
Kutus was ok but a bit meh like he was the season before. He seems to be Pittman's pet offensive lineman so he'll play. Carmona wasn't as good as anticipated but not our worst LT we've had in recent years. This group as is potentially could get better with another off-season in the lab. I think ideally we need to get better at Center and left guard. Addison Nichols could potentially slide over to a guard position if we can upgrade at Center. 

I don't see them moving on from Green but there might be a renewed commitment to an open competition and/or a quick hook in the early season if things go tits up. The guy made strides and ideally he could be a lot better with a off-season of film watching himself miss wide fucking open targets. He will know the speed of the game is much different and can help prepare himself better.

The thing about QB's out of the portal is I don't think they do this. Maybe if Weigman wants to reunite with Petrino we might see something happen there but Weigman is probably gonna merit over a Million. Hell I heard we paid Green 900k. We aren't paying two QBs over a Million. Still Weigman could come and beat out Green in the spring and get that money that way. Green could opt the fuck out and go throw interceptions for somebody else. I'm not entirely impressed with Weigman but he's still a pretty promising player.
