Since we're still rehashing this, do you believe BP has full control of the offense, including 4th down decisions, clock management and the like?

I'd wager he rarely gets overruled on play calling. 4th down should be a coaches decision but with input from the OC. I'd wxpect BP to recommend calling a TO but SP ultimately sjould own that. Fakes are also on the coach.

These things bit us sometimes like everyone else. More? Maybe but I don't think those decisions cause us to lose many games. Not having the talent to compete and execute cause us to lose more games. In close games, bug tine players make big time plays. That is usually the difference.

Roster is gonna be an issue for all teams to a degree. This may be a detriment to BP but we will see. The longer kids are with him the more they progress. Curious if we see Green make a leap next year.

Teams that have the most money in NIL  have an advantage. Not just buying new players but convincing kids to stay.

I'm not sure anyone expected players to command $8-12M per year. If you have $12M total in NIL due you spend more for less players or do you build depth? We don't have the luxury of stocked up high 4 and 5*'s waiting on the bench.

It's out of control.  Is mizzou paying $1.5 mill for the pedo qb? Who's controlling that? Is that a single booster buying that player and telling shitzwicz what's going down?  Duke paying  Qb from Tulane $4 mill?  Huh? 

At some point the contracts need to be standardized and public.  The sec and big have to lead.  Put in a cap.  Put in Portal rules.  Hold these kids, parents, boosters accountable.  Or the game will collapse.

None of the really "big" football schools -- Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, et cetera-- have nearly the depth now they had even 5 years ago.  Those four and five stars aren't going to sit on the bench and "wait their turn" like they did for so many years.

that's what pittman and other coaches are talking about. it's not the just the 'superstars' but guys with a year or two experience who hadn't done much of shit, asking for 6 figures or more. but if you need to fill a roster, what can you do? you just  hope the guy can get into the rotation or if you're lucky, be a starter.

We've been a dead program since Petrino went over the handlebars in 2012.

The players lobbied Long for JLS and we all saw what a clusterfuck that was.

Long hired Bert because of his love letter.

The boosters hired Chad because Gus recommended him (!) after he pantsed us.

Former players lobbied for Pittman.

We haven't had a legitimate coaching search since Petrino.
