I do wonder how much influence over personnel Sam has on both sides of the ball.  He has always shown a favoritism to upperclassmen and I wonder if that is why we haven't seen some of these new guys more.  I will say from when he was here, Bobby has zero problem with playing freshmen.

That doesn't explain why nobody I know in Texarkana, including plenty of high school sports people, know anything about him.  Kinda strange to me.

I read somewhere that he grew up in Pleasant Grove(?) and then moved to Crowley, Texas.  He graduated from Crowley as that was one of his first head coaching jobs and it was his "alma mater."

Sam's view of class rankings is out of 1987z. Like seniors will start regardless of the talent below them. It's why his talent leaves.  You play the best you got regardless of their class in today's nil game.

Also gotta believe Miguel Mitchell could've held his own throughout the season more than Crispy Clark.

Well Pleasant Grove is a part of Texarkana Texas with its own school district.  I thought I heard he went to Texas High though.  Will continue to investigate.

He got a cheap shot at some point in the 1st half where he got a penalty. I think that was just before the 94 yard tuddy. This other cheap shot I didn't see happen live but clearly Carmona was checking the young mans bone density. It was fine.

I would encourage anyone to read John "Bull" Bramlett's book, Taming the Bull. It's a good and easy read. He hung out with Elvis while growing up. Was one of the toughest, meanest LB's ever. Some of his football stories are nuts. They were built different back then.
