He's still not getting fired until he A) breaks the law in some way giving us grounds to fire for cause (no buyout) or B) falls below .500 winning percentage post-Covid.  His record is 27-24 right now, which means he'd have to fall to 0-4, 1-5, 2-6, etc all the way down to finishing 4-8 in order to get the axe.  Hunter showed last year that he's not firing Sam, or maybe more accurately he's been told he can't have the money to do it, until Sam loses enough to cut the buyout in half or his contract expires.

I did the math at some point, but IIRC there is a realistic chance we'd get to 2-6 with this joggernut schedule.
