It's also worth noting that his dad, while playing here, was not very good.  He was "Toast" before Orlando Green ever got his ass scorched on a college football field.

I also remember he was unwittingly the star in one of the worst coaching moves I've ever seen, and simultaneously one of the best from the opponent.  The elder Campbell was blind in one eye...I believe his left.  Danny Ford had him playing on the punt return team, lined up on the left side (meaning he couldn't see the gunner he was assigned to block or cover using peripheral vision...he either saw the inside of the field or had to turn to view the gunner).  Tuberville realized this and had the punter throw a quick hitch to the gunner.  Campbell, not seeing what happened just did his job, which was to level the gunner.  Pass interference was called, first down Ole Miss, and the Rebels won a close one.

I do as well. Also pretty dumb to "move on" from anyone at this point in the process unless there are red flags like rape, murder, drugs, and rape. You have to think about how flighty kids are these days with money floating around. Odds are good we aren't just slamming the door for no reason if there's any modicum of truth to this.

from what i read the staff is not going to pay a lot for high school players unless they think they are very good (have sec offers). going to spend on retention and the portal.
