NFLdraftbuzz lists him at 6'3" 247 lbs which I think was what UCF listed him as going into last season, so... no one was serious enough about him to double check even that.

I never thought he seemed like a bad guy, just not a solid field leader and certainly not a well-rounded QB.

KJ didn't even get signed as a UDFA to be a camp arm.  Fat, slow, and stupid is no way to get a job.

As I recall some of y'all were pimping him as a Heisman candidate and the next Lamar Jackson in the pros.  At this point it looks like he won't make a UFL backup slot.  Hope he invests that NIL backpay wisely. 

Oh yeah , same folks whined Matt Jones was a victim of a conspiracy by Jax coaches and could have been the greatest QB of forever.

A friend of mine is a NWA retail businessman who has a long history of informal "arrangements" with various UA coaches and athletes. He describes KJ as being among, if not the most entitled, rude and ungrateful of all the athletes he's dealt with.

I think you are over blowing it on Matt Jones. He was a freak athlete that didn't really fit as football player at the pro level. Didn't have the hips to play WR...didn't have the arm to play QB. Would have been a really good basketball player had he focused on that and possibly could have been great at something like baseball perhaps as a pitcher. Who knows. As great of an athlete as he was I'm not by any means saying he would have been an NBA player had he focused on basketball but I do believe he could have made an excellent D1 ball player. He had a touch of greatness but never had a team around him good enough to win a Heisman...same deal with DMAC even though he was out right robbed twice. 

I think the biggest thing about Matt Jones' time at Arkansas is we had a coach that let an eventual starting Pro football QB sit on the bench in order to ride Matt Jones who probably would have been a damn good combo as a receiver to Nuke Jackson. There are multiple examples of Nutt playing the wrong player thru the years. In fairness Jackson didn't really "flash" much while at Arkansas but I'm not convinced he was ever truly given the chance to lock down the starting job. He was coming in for a series to start each half and that was about it. That kind of shit today would be shamed out as racist. 

KJ before the injuries started piling up was on a trajectory where it was seen as possible for him to really put up some special numbers. That didn't happen and as time went on he appeared to get dumber. I think his bell got rung a few too many times. Probably can't even pass a physical. Put him on Ohio State and he's basically exactly like that Jones dude or whatever his name was. Probably would have moved the ball because of all the talent around him despite the 10 cent head.

I never whined about him not playing QB at Jax until they ran the wildcat with someone else at QB. WTF!

He could have been a real weapon if they sprinkled it in. He just didn't give enough of a damn to excel. He was able to retire at like 28 so I'm happy for him. He made Hog football worth watching during his time here.
