I had to look it up. The red shirt freshman quarterback is in fact 200 lbs. So the first time in this kid's life that he is hit by a 350+ lb nose tackle, he drives him 8 yards for a game sealing first down. The chances of that happening are astronomical. Unless it's against Arkansas.

Yurachek has to be fired by the end of this week if we are planning on firing Pittman before the end of the year.  We have to have time for a valid AD search.  Hunter is far more of a problem than Sam, because his incompetence is the reason Sam is still here.  You cannot let that fool hire anyone else.  And we have seen what letting an interim do the BoT's bidding gets us.   

Yuri has to fire Sam first.  The RF will hire the new coach.  The bit can fire Yuri.  But Sam has to go today.

If we continue to drop close games with Bobby as interim HC, then we can clean house and no one will continue begging him to stay HC. If we win and it looks like we're turning things around, he can get the gig and get his chance at redemption, and leave it for the new AD to hire Bobby's replacement down the line.

why pay pittman his full buyout for failing horribly? if i was one of the big dicks who's going to be depended on to bankroll all these changes, that's the question i would be asking myself.

i don't think we win the next three with this group regardless who the interim is. let freeze come into fayetteville in a month and drive the stake into sam's career. he's done, he's not finishing above .500 this season and neither will any interim. just look at the schedule.

Question is if you want to completely give up on the season and more portal fallout if that 3 million difference gets us a better coach, which I say yes. Pittman, I always thought, was a bridge guy to stabilize the program so then HY could get his football Muss...but he ended up staying most of 6 years.

these kids don't commit to a university anymore or to 'be a hog'. we're losing a shitload of them with a coaching change no matter who or when.

the new guy will want his own guys on staff and players on the field.

and i'll edit by saying i'm not sure what biddy is thinking about the portal window. that 30 days is there for them to enter, not transfer, and the staff can't stop someone from redshirting. lastly, any player with eligibility that happens to stand out is getting tampered with, if they haven't been already.

Florida state and norvell won 2 games last year. Looks like they've turned it around. No idea how many they retuned or lost to portal but in these times, it can easily be turned around in football, and quickly. Pitt has had his chances to do this and it's obvious he can't do it.

I think the lesson  to be learned is that Mazahn is a hell of an OC.  HC, not so much.

I'd be on board with Mazahn as HC and Petrino remain as OC in some kind mad genius super band offense. I'm not sure either like each other but whatever. 

I think from a run game perspective they are doing similar things right now. Passing game that Petrino does is still damn good...we just can't seem to get decent blocking and our current QB just refuses to stay consistent. 

And this could be more of a realistic thing than many realize.

It's worth the risk because A) Hunter is the bigger issue and B) no quality coach is taking a job if he doesn't know who his AD will be.
