Man, he's not very good at flame-warring. I guess being a minor celebrity has its costs.

I'll pull for whoever we hire but I'm not a fan of anyone tied to Malzahn.

Yurachek needs to go, mishandling NIL is reason enough but just like he didn't hire cal, sounds like he won't make the football hire either.

His contract goes thru 2030 but his buyout is unknown.  Usually smaller programs have weak buyouts for bigger programs.

Gotta toe the line or he'll lose those prime volleyball tickets. (j/k Rick  ;D )

Quote from: Texzilla on Sep 28, 2025, 12:30 PMThere are only 16 sec jobs.  The 9 game schedule is intended to increase the number of slots it gets in the CFP.  I think the gig will get a lot more interest now than it did after Chad as with money and portal things can get fixed fast vs then.

Lashlee's contract goes thru 2030

The idea that the job is not attractive is silly to me. There's what, 130 fbs schools and we're paying top 30 money, maybe a mil from top 20 money. Over half the fbs head coaches would likely bolt their current school for just that and it's likely we're going to pony up into that top 20 area if we hire a solid proven guy. Like others have said, pits buyout is actually rather cheap in comparison to many that are out there. While it was still a horrible deal for a coach of his pedigree, it shouldn't break the bank. Although it's still a lot of money for most.

If they are hiring lashlee the Springdale mafia better pony up for the nil fund.

Maybe Bobby will publicly fire Hunter
"That's embarrassing.  Looks like Josh Duggar the first time his parents asked him to babysit."

For $7 mil I'll put a webcam in front of my shitter so I can answer fan questions while I drop the Longhorns off in College Station.

Things have drastically changed since 2019. At Arkansas you have a top 20 nil fund, the sec will get at least 4 teams in the playoffs. Top 4 in a year is manageable for Arkansas.  I don't think we get a home run hire, but I don't we are going to make a pants on head retard decision like the last two coaches.

Shirley he won't keep Travis

BYE. Has to. Just has to.

Then who coaches defense for the rest of the year?  Give me a couple weeks with the playbook and I doubt I could do too much worse, and I'll do it for minimum wage and a cheerleader.

The good news is that Pittman is gone.  The bad news is that there isn't a TON that Petrino can do to fix everything mid season.  The question is whether or not he can shift the culture of the program and get effort from the players... or if they'll tap out.  That's what I'll be watching for.  He basically has a week to get these players to even try to compete in an SEC game, and then a week to practice for TN.  IDK that it's enough, but that's about all we can hope for.

Does TWill stay?  Can Bobby ditch the dude, and if so, who would then handle the DC job?  My guess is, TWill stays and Bobby tries to tell him what to do... but who knows if that will even be effective.  So many things are wrong on D, lack of effort is a big one, but then the angles they take, the tackling, and the athleticism just doesn't seem to be there at all.

All this animalesque post to say, a change in culture is about the most we can hope for and realistically not a lot is going to change.

I'm sure Willy Robinson is available.
