To add to that, it isn't enough to change their mindsets enough to survive the inevitable loss, either.  If Petrino can get some culture shift and resilience in them by aTm he will have done the lord's work.  Hell, it'd still be miraculous if he could manage it by the time Aub or MSST come up.

I don't expect a win vs Tenn or Aggies. I think our best chance is vs Auburn. Win that at home, maybe get some momentum rolling. Miss St at home the week after is doable if the defense has come around even a little. That's four wins.

LSU, Texas, and Mizzou. We'd need two out of three to make a bowl, one of which has to be on the road.

Losses vs Tenn and Aggies are acceptable if they're not blowouts and if practices leading up to them help install new defensive schemes.

I keep going back to how close we played Ole Miss vs losing huge to ND. In the former game the team had fight in them. In the latter game they'd given up.

Get them to buy back in, even with two losses and the season can be salvaged

This right here.  If Nutt is the AD say goodbye to Calipari and DVH; it's one thing to deal with Sam as an inept peer, having an even bigger moronic piece of shit as your boss would be intolerable. It's hard to see even 2 wins with this team, let alone a 10 win season.  This team folds like laundry.  It will be difficult to get this culture turned around enough, especially if we go an lose to TN and aTm, and we likely will.
