Hunter isn't going anywhere. He fucked up hiring an assistant coach and keeping him this year, but I'm assuming he won't make that mistake again. He's in an automatic winning situation because he has a good coach in his back pocket.

Nutt is a decade removed from college sports. I'm certain he doesn't know what NIL stands for, let alone how to implement it as an administrator. I think the vast majority of people who give sizable donations to Razorback athletics follow it at least as closely as the rank and file woopigger. They know who Nutt is and what he is. He would be a failure at raising money. Not that he would be considered for coaching, but think about it if he was. I heard no grumbling about Petrino coming back to oc and I haven't heard any about him being interim or considered for permanent. Fans would raise hell if they thought Nutt was being considered. It's interesting to read some nostalgic respect for Nutt. I have none.

I don't think Hunter necessarily screwed up in hiring Pitt but more so with extending him. I was good with the hire, given the stank Chad left. 3-4 years of Pittman and then moving on would have left us in a pretty good position. I don't think we're in terrible position now, but we wasted ~15 million on that dumb decision.

Kinda same with Nutt. I have good memories of the first few years but we hung on to him too long. How Ole Miss didn't see he was washed is beyond me.
