I guess it's been known since last Monday and I just missed it, but 3:15 on the SECN for the Tennessee game is kind of a shitty relegation to the hinterlands for the Bobby Petrino re-debut.

The SEC announces time windows for each game before the season.  This one was a flex between either the 2:30-3:15 window or a night game.

No, we aren't "two fumbles away" from being 4-1.  Even without those fumbles, we would have still been behind in both games.  No assurance we would have scored.

No guarantee but both were trending towards scoring pretty strongly.  Both fumbles killed productive drives.

The bigger concern was, would we have left enough time for the matador defense we employ to let OM and Memphis score again?  I suspect they would have, even if there had been under 10 seconds left when we crossed the goal line.  The only guarantee in either game would have been if we scored as time expired.
