Quote from: woodhog14 on Jan 31, 2026, 10:04 AMWe are 27-87 in SEC play since 2012. Least amount of conference wins in that span. Even Vanderbilt has more than us.

That's what happens after you prove to the world that you're not really concerned with winning.
"That's embarrassing.  Looks like Josh Duggar the first time his parents asked him to babysit."

For $7 mil I'll put a webcam in front of my shitter so I can answer fan questions while I drop the Longhorns off in College Station.

Once authored a post that critics claimed, "Was notaslibro level."

You mean "not serious"

Quote from: The Whyte Boar on Jan 30, 2026, 07:36 PMSo, the chancellor and HY had no idea this was coming and this was a direct shot at the chancellor who said athletics didn't need more funding?

It seems that some people on the BOT are indeed wanting to get "serious" about football whether the chancellor and AD want it or not.

Scott Ford sure was not happy at the meeting with the Chancellor and HY. HY and the Chandellor knew about this 5 months ago.

"We instructed Jay to leave the room and go get with Hunter and Charles and get this resolved and come back to us. That was five months ago," Ford said. "Either our command or intent to Jay wasn't clear, or Jay's command or intent to Charles wasn't clear, or it's just failed to get traction because there are competing interests and all of that.

Quote from: DrMongoose on Jan 27, 2026, 08:27 PMI thought the athletic department was non-profit?

"Non-profit" doesn't necessarily mean that the enterprise doesn't make money. Most "non-profit" groups have to make money to reinvest and continue the enterprise.

Got to make sure Texas doesn't snap him up.

Goddam.

Hogs will hit 100 loses way before they get 40 wins.

Seriously, how the fuck does HY still have a job?

If you stop an consider how many fucking retards we have had running our program throughout the last 25 years: John White (how the fuck he became involved i dont know), Jeff Long, Hunter Yurachek. It is amazing the entire athletics department has not burned to the grown at this point. As was said earlier, if Tyson wasn't best buddies with Cal, we would be completely and utterly fucked at this point with our only bright spot of the  year being our inevitable loss in the College World Series. I am convinced at this point that Yurachek is a pants on head retard that somehow failed his way upwards. If Frank had not moved us to the SEC before this incompetence set in, we would be in the PAC 10 today jerking our dicks off with Washington State and Oregon State about "the good old days".

Hurry up and get your tickets for this one Hog fans.

Credit to Yurachek, or whoever made the deal to allow concerts.  We should make enough off of this to buy us a backup defensive lineman.

I haven't kept up with this "deal to allow concerts" so forgive me if this is a stupid question.  When was this deal finalized?  And, if they couldn't allow stadium concerts, how was Garth Brooks there a few years ago?

They announced it a few days ago, right after the BOT decision.

vegashog

it wasn't that they couldn't allow concerts, it's with the deal they signed, money goes to the university.

it's one of the ways to make up for the $5-6 million the school will give to the athletic department some people are freaking out about.

another way will be the licensing for patches on the uniforms. lsu signed a deal before the ncaa actually approved it. it's with an australian energy company of all things. multi million contract.

HTL

We had to replace the entire field after the last concert. We'll probably lose money lol

vegashog

they didn't have to replace the field after the garth brooks concert if that's the one you mean. they thought they may have had to, but the plastic flooring put down saved it.

What are the odds that HTL was wrong about this?

I didn't care enough to see the outcome. Anyway, what are the odds you'll walk around with an uncle heavy on top of your poodlehead today? Quite high.

I wasn't responding to you, dumbfuck. As I said, I never cared enough to follow the story after they said they were replacing the grass.
