Here ya go...

Shooting should not be a problem with this team. Pinion, Davenport, Ellis, Devo all shot the ball well from deep. In warmups,  several players were constantly draining threes.

Outside of shooting, our passing was probably my biggest takeaway. There were probably 15 times a player drove into the paint and kicked or across court. Ellis is a much better passer than I thought. He had several drives that he found the open corner/wing  for an open shot. We have two really good PGs in Ellis and Blocker. Blocker didn't score much but he has a good looking shot and he can flat out defend.

Pinion shot it really well and had a couple nice back door cuts for dunks. He looks healthy. He defended well but it's impossible to join defense in a Red/White game. I will say this game was fairly contested.

Mark is a clone of Devo but much better ball handler. He honestly could play poont if he had too. He's very crafty at getting to the rim. Devo was quiet the first half byt played really well in the second. The game looked very easy for him tonight.

Mitchell and Graham played well. Both hit a 3. Fall is more skilled than i thought. He hit a 3 as well. Still struggles with physical play but he has a very high ceiling.

Lawson and Harris looked better than I expected skill wise. Harris struggled a bit with the ball but made aome really good defensive plays and shot it ok. Lawson was great on the glass and made a couple nice dunks and jumpers. Neither are as physical as Kamani but both are tough and more skilled.

Putting up 88 pts in 32 mins is impressive. Especially given two of our best players didn't play.

This team is really deep and has a ton of talent. Moreso than any team Muss has had.

Hopefully Pinion and Davenport can play enough defense to earn minutes because they are both elite shooters.

I'd tap the brakes on that. We haven't had our 1 or 2 crushing season-ending injuries to starters yet.
I need help and I know it.

Who will be our big this year?

Muss used the wording no middle defense

I trust Muss so this isn't criticism.

I do believe you need a serviceable athletic big man.

I think the hope is that Makhi will be that guy now that he doesn't have to worry about his twin brother's lack of playing time.  He has shown flashes of being exactly what we need, but hasn't done it consistently yet.

Like Lurk said, I suspect Brazile will be the defensive 5 down the stretch unless we're just getting pummeled inside.
Perish peacefully in a warm environment.

BleedinRed

Makes sense.  I forgot about Makhi.

No shit. Muss said that Battle had x-rays on his foot last night and will be evaluated by the doctors again today.
The Lord wants you to put your foot on their balls and believe in it. 'Cuz that's what wins football games. Not jumping offsides like a bunch of wimps and faggots. I don't care what those pinkos over in Russia say. You want to be a loser? You go live in Russia. I'm a winner. I'm an American.

Good company to be recruiting against.  If Hunter wants to go on a rage-induced spending spree because of the football program's suckitude, I wouldn't protest if he gives Muss a raise just for the sake of it.

For $7 mil I'll put a webcam in front of my shitter so I can answer fan questions while I drop the Longhorns off in College Station.

Basing this on very little it sounds like Graham has improved I just wonder if Brazil and Graham can be on the floor at the same time.

I kinda figure Graham will be our 6th man type guy that can play a couple spots.

Muss said they are going for an offense similar to the Bucks offense from a couple years ago that won a chip.

In any case this looks like an older group that isn't going to be still wiping asses in late February...we should click in a lot earlier this season.

We look long, athletic and fast, which is no surprise.

I think the only real questions on Defense are whether we can defend:

1.  A small, quick guard that has given us fits in the past breaking down the D and dishing to the open man.  Larger guards we do pretty well, but the tiny ones have killed us
2.  A real, actual big man with Beef like the UK thug (piece of shit got away with anything) or the UCONN guy.

Offense, it all comes down to shooting.

If we can shoot, they can't pack the lane and with that athletes we have, we will be able to get to the rim.  Shooting will open up everything.  Will just have to go out and actually do it, which for large stretches of last year we couldn't
