he fired morris before the end of his second season. he canned him when he should have, anytime sooner would not have done a fucking thing.

he was not going to fire pittman prior to this game so all this little girl hair on fire shit is just that.

he didn't go cheap or fucked up the search, that has been covered ad nauseum on here. again you cherry pick what you want and ignore the other players involved in the whole hiring process.

the raise was everyone in the athletic department's 'fault'. and once more, unless you and the others on here that bitch about a coach's salary are on the foundation's speed dial, what the hell does it matter. they are all overpaid.

if all that makes me a 'fanboy', then so be it.

All this is on the right side of true. Yurachek ain't the problem.

Sam is getting 2024 no matter what. If you think that makes Yurachek the problem, then you can hold that opinion.

pittman is in over his head. on that, everyone can agree. i personally just don't get bring up salary or the making anyone other than the coach himself responsible for that.

the guy waved the white flag today at his presser. two weeks is a long time given the current situation and who knows what will happen.  maybe nothing, maybe a agreed upon graceful bow out. burning the whole program down by shitcanning the entire staff like i've seen on the interweb boards is the worst thing to do, imo.

I bet Sam retires at the end of the season.  Any coach who professes to love Arkansas, the fans, state, etc and wants to stay in the state in retirement can't have another year like this.

Yuri gave us Muss.  I'll count on him to get us an equivalent football coach too until he proves me wrong.

For $7 mil I'll put a webcam in front of my shitter so I can answer fan questions while I drop the Longhorns off in College Station.

That was a pretty full stadium today for a team with this record and 11 am.
I mean, that was about as limpdick an offense as I've seen.

The only thing to do here is probably replace Enos immediately and get Sam to retire at the end of the year, no matter the cost.  Seriously, no matter the cost.

The apathy  that will hit with another Pittman year is going to be something normally unseen around an SEC program.... but then we also had Chad Morris for like 3 years.

This is my alma mater and I love NWA but I'm at the age where I don't even care anymore.

The bar is really fucking low for the football coach and none of these fucking coaches can do it.

I'm sure you're partially telling yourself this as a coping mechanism to avoid being disappointed.   But there is no way Sam keeps the job here with an 0-8 SEC record, and probably not at 1-7 given the loss to BYU.  If Hunter keeps Sam with that record he is putting his own job in jeopardy unnecessarily.

I think Enos is let go before Monday.
Maybe Kennedy, too.

I would do this if I was Pittman.

I would force it if I was Yurachek.

This move would at least indicate something is being tried.

If you can't come in as a coordinator and adjust your offense or defense to your talent, you shouldn't be here or anywhere else. Fuck your style. Use your talent to the best of their abilities.
Well, shit...

If I were Sam I would go to Hunter and ask him point blank what I needed to do to keep my job beyond this year.  I would preemptively offer up Kennedy and Enos as immediate sacrifices as a show of intent to fix the issues.

Is firing coordinators something HC Pittman can do unilaterally? Or does he need HY approval due to salary and contract issues?

If Pittman has to ask permission, then we have bigger issues.

I guess technically he wouldn't have to fire those guys.  He could change their assignment to advance scouting of 2024 opponents.

The pecking order here is Muss. If he likes HY he's going to get HY as his boss. By all means leave it up to the "brass" to drive away another TOP 10 coach. Arkansas has a long time legacy of doing exactly this. Hunter may be a Jerry Jones poser type dude on the sidelines and all that jazz but I'll give him credit in how he's hired for the other sports and let things play out. Again low bar...I think most fans would be happy with 7-5, 8-4, and 9-3 where as there are other programs in our league that if they are dipping down to those numbers they are looking for new coaches.

I don't know how you sell Steely Sam Tittman going forward, he all but admitted he's in over his head today. You have to wonder how much of that was hidden by Odom and maybe even Briles before. The one thing I'll say about Sam is I think he realized how bad we were probably after the 2nd or 3rd game of the season and that's when he got real defensive about the line of questioning. I felt like he lashed out because he knew what was going to happen this season. He knew it and by then couldn't do a damn thing about it.

The bottom line is that we are fucked for the foreseeable future. We will a lot of teams bitches for a while.

Nothing new.

The most intriguing storyline about Arkansas football is how many good/great coaches the past 50 years we have let slip away, and wound up with the shitty ones.  We have a long history of reaching into a sackfull of titties and pulling out a big greasy cock.

I'm on smoko, so leave me alone.

If Pittman goes 1-7 or 0-8 in the SEC and is back next year to fuck the dog again in a ghost town of a stadium against an expansion SEC schedule, then that's absolutely on Yurachek.

Lurk

The curse strikes every year. We lose someone we can't afford to lose. I'd have never thought in a million years it would be Kindle Briles. I think Odom covered a lot of Sam's shortcomings also.
