Sam must either be really dumb or really lazy. Well, I guess he could be both.  But anyway, the key is to plan for and prepare for these situations BEFORE the game.  It's like he just rolls out every Saturday like he has never done it before.

The issue with firing Enos now is who calls plays?  I honestly don't know who the next guy up would be and it could be worse than what we have now sadly.

Not meaning to be hyperbolic, but honestly -- how could it get worse than today?

No fucking way.

Just use AI. Does the UofA have a computer department?

Honestly an algorithm would be way better.

Maybe Canada has the right idea...we could just offer the football program a medically assisted death.
"I got fired for using free speech" yea imagine getting killed over it

Son of Spam

We are worse than the Mississippi schools. Yikes!
Well, shit...

It's sad watching all these other competitive football contests and knowing we can't piss a drop.

was thinking the same thing. :(

vegashog

he can lose himself out of a lot of it tho.

The Whyte Boar

I don't know, why does Sam Pittman need to squeeze a nickel?  He has more money than he can spend.  He doesn't have kids to leave his money to. If he gets tired of it and the writing is on the wall, I think a negotiated buyout is possible.  It might be that the worst thing HY could do to him is to make him come back next year and coach.

Show-Me Hog

Quitting after this year would be admission that he failed.

I think y'all are delusional if you think Sam is going to take that path.

Going down in flames is better than bailing out with a parachute. He'll have the bank account either way.

Well hell, he's already quit.

Not admitting you've failed is a lot of work.  I need a cold beer.

I should be shocked that the Arkansas Foundation and Athletic Department would sign off on a such a huge buyout again.

I guess writing in the half off if Tits Lasso goes below .500 is some sort of consolation, but still $11 million!!!
The dildo of consequence, rarely arrives lubed.

HY doesn't look like a good AD right now. He gave a proven contract to an unproven coach.

Texzilla

If we lose out they can fire him at $11m.  A bargain.  Hy has to fire him after this season to avoid the triggering of more years.

I think Hy will say you want to retire and get paid $11m or get fired and get paid $11m?  A retirement would make recruitment of his replacement better.

With the bye now's the time to make changes. Fire Enos and Kennedy in the am, have a meeting with the new restructured staff, and meet with the players in the evening letting them know that opportunities are coming for 2nd stringers, and that underperforming seniors are benched.

I'm not a fan of putting in Criswell for a series or two.  A qb needs reps, almost all of them.  If we lose the 7th game in two weeks it's time to see what he can do and bench KJ and give starting reps to Criswell.

Pumpkin Escobar

Tits McGee has to be fired or retired because we've been on downward spiral since the fAggy game, last year. This offense has no energy, direction or compete level. It's all slow developing short passing bullshit with Olinemen not athletic enough to sustain their blocks. There are few shots downfield and no creativity at all. KJ is just not suited for this type of offense. This is the type of bullshit that got Enos fired by Miami.

The defense is competing and there is energy and aggression, but how much longer will that last as the losses pile up? Samwise Titsgee just doesn't have the leadership skills and organizational skills to turn this around. There is no point in giving him another year because the transfer portal means these kids don't have to go down with this sinking ship.
