this. as vegashog notes below - we don't have the money everyone thinks we do.

we'll end up playing footsie with Gus and he'll string us along like always into another new deal and then we'll ask him who to hire (why?) and end up with Rhett Lashlee cause he wins at SMU!! which meets the texas and dallas obsession our money people have.

meanwhile a guy who has won and beaten P5 teams (including us) at two lesser schools - Jamey Chadwell won't even get a call cause he had a mullett when he was at Coastal.

we all see the potential for our program but everyone else sees the reality of what it is right now - average at best with a ceiling of 8-9 wins - and both are right.

i wasn't saying the possible coaching search would be influenced by the softball or volleyball programs. and it's stupid to think that basketball hasn't become every bit as big of a priority at arkansas. and rightly so imo.

If some boosters get together and fork over a bunch of money for Pittman's buyout and the new guy but it's contingent on hiring Gus, then Yurachek might have his hand somewhat forced.
