Dallas got their teeth kicked in by most of their betters this season from what I recall. That's a mentality thing more so than a talent thing but I do believe it's clear Dak is wack. Maybe they can package him to someone really in need a starter at QB that can move the needle a little. Pittsburgh or Denver should do nicely.

They basically tried this last year where they came up short, McCarthy was retained, this season they were good against non-playoff teams and shit against for realzies. So it seems to me if they aren't going to jettison McCarthy then they might need to do something else like make some big moves with players. Heads need to roll.

Pardon me if I'm showing my ignorance but for the sake of argument lets say Denver can move Russ Wilson + a 4th rounder to Dallas in exchange for Dak Prescott. That would get Denver into the playoff conversation and Russ would be on a good roster where he can take Dallas all the way to the wildcard round.

A Dallas Cowboys cheerleader said that Green Bay Packers players were disrespectful to her and other cheerleaders during the Packers-Cowboys playoff game on Sunday....She gave an example of when the Packers scored a touchdown, the players would come up to her and her teammates, who she said were standing on the sidelines "minding our own business," and start yelling at them and getting close to their faces.

Not really.  They beat Philly, Detroit*, and the Rams to go 3-4 against playoff teams regular season. 

The problem with the team was the numerous no-shows, where they played at literally half of less of their potential for no reason having anything to do with the other team.  They played like total ass against Arizona, Seattle (W), Miami, and of course Green Bay. I'd add San Fran and Buffalo to that as no shows even though those were both good teams who probably would have beaten Dallas even with a solid effort from the Cowboys.  A team with the talent the Cowboys had this year should not piss down both legs against a full third of their schedule.  Part of it is certainly on Dak, but the bigger responsibility lies with the guy who is paid to get his team ready to play each week. 

I've been and will continue to be as critical of Jerry as anyone.  But this year's failures weren't on him, other than building a culture of not giving a fuck about winning the ultimate prize and of course retaining a below average head coach.  Jerry allowed McClay to build a roster good enough to win it all.  There were probably at least 15-20 other current head coaches and God knows how many others who aren't currently running teams who could have at least gotten this roster to the NFC championship game.

Like I said elsewhere in the thread, the variance between the Cowboys' high and low performances seems much greater than other comparable teams. 

They should have been able to smoke Arizona at less than 50%.  That one has stuck with me.
